About Me

I grew up in Indianola, Iowa. When I graduated high school in 1994, I joined the US Army Reserve and attended Central College in Pella. I graduated with a 4 year liberal arts degree in 1999. While in college I was briefly activated by the military and spent 8 months in Germany. My last semester of my senior year I spent in Leiden, Holland. My focus was on glass blowing and art history while attaining a teaching license for grades K-12.

Upon graduation I began work as a professional artist. For eight years I ran Studio K - my own art studio business in Indianola making glass bead jewelry and assisting with glass blowing and fusing.

In 2006 I got married and sold my home. While going through the home selling process, I began to feel that real estate would be an interesting career to pursue. I know first-hand that selling and buying a home is at once an exciting and sometimes overwhelming experience, so I am happy to bring a fresh approach and make the experience easier for my clients.
